FIFA snub EA Sports for Mythical Games π

FIFA has announced a partnership with Mythical Games - creators of the officially-licensed NFL Rivals title - to create FIFA Rivals, its first official video game since ending its partnership with EA Sports in 2022.
FIFA Rivals is set to be a mobile title, akin to NFL Rivals, and is scheduled for release in summer 2025 on both iOS and Android devices.
The game will feature arcade-style soccer gameplay and include blockchain-based collectibles - a first for the FIFA brand.
Magic Eden reveal $ME token details π

NFT marketplace Magic Eden has unveiled further details on the tokenomics for its soon-to-launch $ME token, set to arrive in the coming weeks.
First announced in August 2024, the launch of the $ME token aims to capitalise on Magic Eden's strong position in the market, with many considering them to have usurped OpenSea and Blur to become the #1 NFT marketplace.
50.2% of $ME tokens are assigned for the community, ecosystem and liquidity, with 12.5% of the tokens to be made available upon launch via an airdrop. The remaining 49.8% is set to be distributed to select contributors and strategic partners.
Sky Mavis cut 21% of workforce π

Sky Mavis, the company behind popular blockchain game Axie Infinity and the gaming-focused Ronin Network, has announced that it has laid off 21% of its workforce.
Co-founder Nguyen Thanh Trung announced the layoffs on November 23, calling it a βtough decision", though clarifying it was unrelated to any financial concerns. The company will now focus on its key products, including Axie Infinity, the Ronin wallet, the Mavis marketplace, and its web3 game publishing efforts.
Alongside these layoffs, Sky Mavis also announced plans for a new Axie Infinity game, set for release in early 2025.
