MetaMask announce major overhaul 👀
MetaMask have announced a significant overhaul to their product, with new features, refreshed branding, and a slew of major upgrades.
These upgrades include a user interface overhaul, the upcoming integration of Bitcoin (Q3 2025) and Solana (May 2025), a new multichain API for seamless cross-chain transactions, gas payments in alternative tokens (March 2025), a smart transaction system, upcoming security boosts through smart mccounts, and much more.
This announcement has also officially introduced the MetaMask Card - a partnership with MasterCard that allows holders to make purchases using their cryptocurrency holdings as they would with any debit or credit card. Eligible users can sign-up to use the virtual MetaMask Card now, with a physical card expected to launch in April 2025.
Valeria Games run out of funds 📉
Valeria Games has made the shock announcement that they have ran out of funds, immediately suspending development on their mobile TCG.
This news comes two weeks after the conclusion of Season 1 of Valeria: Land Before the War, which signalled a halt in communications from the Valeria Games team. Regardless, news of this development pause has come as a shock to many, with many in the community reeling from the abrupt announcement.
Valeria Games have confirmed that they are “[searching] search for investors or potential buyers”, and although the game currently remains online, the planned TGE for their $LOV ecosystem token is now on indefinite hold.
EVE Frontier hire expert economist 🪙
Upcoming Web3 MMO EVE Frontier has announced the appointment of a former economist at the Central Bank of Iceland as their new Head of Economy.
Stefán Þórarinsson will be conducting so-called “experiments”, deploying his experience and expertise upon the blockchain-based economy of EVE Frontier to create an ecosystem that is sustainable, rewarding, and will promote the growth of the upcoming MMO.
His first “experiment” will focus on observing the current state of EVE Frontier with its limited player pool, before optimising these systems in preparation for the game’s full release.
