BoDoggos app sparks industry-wide debate 💬

A tweet directed at the BoDoggos team on the subscription fee for their trading news app has sparked an industry-wide debate on what NFT holders are entitled to receive.

@Lewsiphur tweeted a screenshot from the BoDoggos Discord on June 17, where CEO Nick O’Neill shared details on their early access app. The tweeter took issue at BoDoggos holders needing to pay for app access, whilst the BoDoggos team defended their need to cover “ongoing cost”.

As this back-and-forth continued on X, many big names, collectors and everyday members of the community waded in with their opinion, generating significant debate.

Though the public discussion has largely subsided, the question still remains: what should NFT holders expect to receive from an NFT collection?

Rekt Drinks to be stocked in 7-Eleven 🥤

Rekt Drinks have announced a deal with 7-Eleven that will see their beverages hit the shelves of the world’s largest convenience store chain.

This deal, which is expected to start this week, is being marked with a series of 7-Eleven store takeovers by the Rekt Drinks crew. The first of these took place in Los Angeles, California on June 19, and saw exclusive DJ sets from @degentalks and @theglitchmob – with further LA locations to see takeovers on June 20 and June 21.

The announcement of this deal is the biggest milestone in the history of Rekt Drinks – a brand which first emerged just 8 months ago – and follows two sold-out drinks releases in the past two weeks, alongside the debut of $REKT on Abstract.

The Avalanche Battle Pass is now live 🕹️

Layer-1 blockchain Avalanche have launched the Avalanche Battle Pass NFT, a free-to-mint NFT collectible that rewards gamers with NFT and token rewards.

Available to mint on Magic Eden, holders can earn a variety of NFT and $AVAX token prizes by playing select Avalanche-based games, such as Off The Grid, Spellborne and Pixelmon: Warden’s Ascent.

The battle pass has been described by Ava Labs, the team behind Avalanche, as an “on-chain watering hole”, giving players a way to both explore the Avalanche ecosystem, and earn rewards “no matter which game they drop into.”
